Returning to Nigeria in 1986, our founder was captivated by the fragrances shown on the pages of Vogue — yet finding them at home was near impossible. Each new launch meant a drive across the border to Cotonou.
It made little sense that a country as well-travelled as Nigeria had no dedicated house for fine fragrance. On the 17th September 1994, Perfumery Limited opened as Nigeria’s first-ever retail perfume store.

A landmark boutique opens at the Transcorp Hilton, welcoming clients for two decades. Lagos moves from Payless 3 Mall to Mega Plaza.
Doors open at Port Harcourt Mall, Enugu Mall and Jabi Lake Mall.
After 25 years in retail, we close our stores and move entirely into wholesale — focused one hundred percent on niche, luxury brands.
